Nashville, TN (August 19, 2009) - Vineyard / Varietal Records band 1000 Generations prepared for the August 4 release of their first nationally distributed album, Turn Off the Lesser Lights, by wrapping up production on the video of their debut single, "Fail Us Not."
Directed by Knitted Heart Production's Ben Eisner (Relient K, Israel Houghton, DecembeRadio), the footage was shot on the banks of the picturesque canal that flows through downtown Indianapolis, the band's hometown.
1000 Generations' Steven Potaczek comments, "We were absolutely committed to a unique video concept that testifies to the unmerited and unfailing love of God expressed in every circumstance of life." As the band performs the song, the camera pans to on-lookers who each have their own story of finding peace in the midst of a seemingly hopeless situation. Underneath each person's face appears their first name, along with the issue - big or small - that God is helping them through. Some of the issues include divorce, unemployment, abuse, and uncertainty about the future.
At the end of the video, viewers will be invited to log onto www.failusnot.com and post their own "one-minute movie" on a YouTube channel designed to create an online community that will serve as a testament to God's faithfulness during difficult circumstances.
The "Fail Us Not" world video premiere is scheduled for September 15, 2009 exclusively on HearItFirst.com along with its syndicated channels on Tangle, YouTube, and Myspace.
In addition, the single has just entered the Top 30 of the national R&R AC Indicator charts and the group is in the process of scheduling new release concerts in the mid-west region.
